For cars first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side glass at least 70%. Earlier cars need at least 70% through both. The limits apply to the glass and film together, so the film's percentage alone doesn't tell you what's legal.
What does the car tint warranty cover?
