What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.

Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?

How much light must the front glass let through?
For a vehicle first used from 1 April 1985 onwards, the windscreen must let at least 75% of light through, and front side windows at least 70%. Earlier vehicles need a minimum of 70% through both. Those percentages apply to the glass and added film together.
Is the car tint covered by a warranty?
Yes, your car film has a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. If the film peels, bubbles or fades, the installer will come back to your home or workplace and fix it. You'll get a warranty card, care instructions and a microfibre cleaning cloth after fitting.
