Tint shades and legal advice
We tint rear side windows and the rear windscreen, where any shade is allowed. Your installer will advise on legal film choices for the front windows.
The five shades, from darkest to lightest, are Onyx 5%, Luna 20%, Twilight 35%, Fifty 50% and 70%; the percentages show how much light gets through. What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

What legal limits apply to my front windows?
For cars first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen needs to let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. On earlier cars, each needs at least 70%. It's the glass and film together that must meet those limits.
What faults are covered by the tint warranty?
Your car tint warranty covers bubbling, fading and peeling for as long as you own the car. If any of these happen, an installer comes to your home or workplace to fix it. After fitting, you'll get care instructions, a warranty card, a microfibre cloth and a keyring.
