What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.

Are there legal limits on front-window tint?
Yes, the windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and front side windows at least 70% on a car first used from 1 April 1985 onwards. For an earlier car, both minimums are 70%. Those limits apply to the glass and any added film together.
