Are darker rear windows legal?
Yes, dark shades are legal on the rear side windows and rear windscreen, where any shade is permitted. For cars first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and the front side windows at least 70%. On older cars, both must let through at least 70%. The limits are for the glass and film together.
Will the tint be covered if it fades?
Yes, fading is covered by the car tint's lifetime warranty while you own the vehicle. Peeling and bubbles are included too. The installer comes back to your Swindon home or workplace to fix the affected tint.
