You can choose from five shades for your car in Thanet: Onyx 5% is the darkest and 70% is the lightest, with Luna 20%, Twilight 35% and Fifty 50% between them. The percentages tell you how much light gets through the film; the online tint viewer shows each shade on your make and model. Film blocks up to 99% of UV, cuts heat and glare, and adds privacy. The installer advises on legal shades for each window, while rear side windows and the rear windscreen can take any shade.

What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

What are the legal limits for front windows?
For a car first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. Those limits apply to the glass and film together. For older cars, both must let at least 70% through, and your Thanet installer will advise on legal shades.
What does the car tint warranty cover here?
Your Thanet car tint has a lifetime warranty against peeling, bubbling or fading while you own the vehicle. If one of those faults occurs, an installer returns to your home or work to fix it. You'll receive a warranty card and care instructions after fitting.
