Your installer will advise on legal shades for the front windows, where the limits apply to the glass and film together.

What happens when the installer arrives?

“Got the rear windows on wife's newly purchased second hand VW id4 and had both cars fitted with a windscreen sun strips. Very competitively priced and felt it was worth the extra couple of pounds after reading many reviews. Mike fitted them and was very helpful and knowledgeable. Got on with the job with no fuss. What are the limits for tint on front windows?
For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. Older vehicles need at least 70% through both. These limits include the glass and film together, and your installer will advise on legal shades for your car.
How long does car tinting take in Widnes?
