What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.

How much light must the front windows let through?
On a car first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must allow at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. Cars first used before that date need at least 70% for both. The measurement includes the film together with the car’s original glass.
