You can choose Onyx 5%, the darkest film, Luna 20%, Twilight 35%, Fifty 50% or the lightest option at 70% for rear side windows and the rear windscreen. The tint viewer shows each shade on your make and model; the percentages tell you how much light passes through the film. Your installer will explain which shades are legal for the front glass at your Gateshead fitting. Once it's fitted, the film adds privacy, cuts heat and glare, and blocks up to 99% of UV.
