We tint the rear side windows and rear windscreen, where any shade is allowed; the Manchester installer will advise on legal shades for the front windows. Onyx 5% is the darkest, followed by Luna 20%, Twilight 35% and Fifty 50%; 70% is the lightest, and the numbers tell you how much light gets through the film. What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

Do the front window limits include the original glass?
Yes, the legal light levels apply to the glass and film together. For vehicles first used from 1 April 1985, at least 75% of light must pass through the windscreen and 70% through the front side glass. For earlier vehicles, both need to pass at least 70%.
What happens if the tint develops a fault?
Your installer comes back to fix peeling, fading or bubbling under the car tint warranty, which lasts for as long as you own the vehicle. Repairs take place at your home or workplace. You'll get the warranty card and care instructions after fitting, together with a microfibre cleaning cloth and a keyring.
