Car tint fitting at your Scarborough address

Car tinting at home or work
James Bowen, our Global Tint franchise owner, brings the car tinting equipment to you in Scarborough. We also come to Northstead and Newby for mobile fitting at your home or workplace. You won't need to provide power: the van has its own supply and carries what's needed for the job.
Use the tint viewer to see the available shades on your own make and model before you choose a tint. Allow around one and a half to two and a half hours to fit a full car, depending on the vehicle.
Global Tint Scarborough
Choose your tint
We tint the rear side windows and rear windscreen on Scarborough cars, and any work on front glass has to meet the legal light limits. Shades range from the darkest Onyx 5%, through Luna 20%, Twilight 35% and Fifty 50%, to the lightest 70% option. The percentage tells you how much light gets through, and your installer advises you on a legal choice. The film adds privacy, reduces heat and glare, and blocks up to 99% of UV.
Mobile tinting

A three-minute look at a Global Tint installer fitting window film where the customer’s car is parked.
What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.
How we work
Everything comes on the van
The van is independently powered and carries everything the installer needs, so you don’t have to provide electricity or a garage. A driveway or a workplace car park is enough.

What you get with every car
Every car tint has a lifetime warranty while you own the car, and the job isn’t finished until you’ve seen the result.
A clean handover
Before leaving, the installer goes round the car with you so you can see the finished windows, and leaves the car clean.
Lifetime warranty
For as long as you own the car. If the tint peels, bubbles or fades, we come back to your home or workplace to fix it.
Aftercare kit
A warranty card, a microfibre cleaning cloth, a keyring and care instructions. Small water bubbles or a slight haze are normal while the film dries, and they clear on their own.
The Global Tint way
Fitted where your car is parked
Global Tint has tinted cars since 2010, and every installer is trained to the same standard at our training facility.
Rain or shine
The film goes on inside the car, so a wet day doesn’t cancel your booking.
Backed while you own the car
If the tint peels, bubbles or fades, we come back to you and put it right.

- Car tinting
“Well all of the positive reviews were right ! From start to finish Renan was outstanding. We discussed the tint shade that I had selected and agreed that it was right. Despite installing in 30+ degree heat Renan didn't stop. He clearly knows his stuff and his advise about drying time etc was spot on. The tints have totally transferred the car and has made a real difference. Thank you ! Keep up the good work ! Thanks Dean”
Dean Beckett8 July 2026 - Mobile tinting
“Great experience from start to finish. Great communication even down to a text an hour before Mike was due as he was doing the job at my house which was the bonus of choosing Global Tint. When he turned up was a very pleasant guy, got on with the job and was finished within three quarters of an hour with no problems and the job was done perfectly. Would definitely use global tint again and recommend them to anyone.”

Fantastic service
“Couldn’t recommend this company enough, went above and beyond to pick up my keys from my work address to make sure I got the job done at home today (which I knew would be a hassle) - Great communication throughout, would definitely use again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions drivers in Scarborough ask us most.
All window tinting services offered by Global Tint Scarborough are lawful and adhere to the local Scarborough government regulations.
Can you tint a car in Cayton or Eastfield?
Yes, we come to Cayton and Eastfield for mobile car tinting around Scarborough. We can tint your car at your home or workplace in either place. Rain doesn't stop the job, because the film goes on the inside of the glass.
Do you cover Scarborough town as well as the villages?
Yes, we cover Scarborough itself as well as the area around it for mobile car tinting. We also visit cars in nearby Castle, Newby, Northstead and Woodlands.
What's the Scarborough phone number?
Call 01723 413163 for the Scarborough car tinting service. Office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm. If the online quote tool doesn't have your car, the team can work out its price by phone.
How much light must the front windows let through?
A car first used from 1 April 1985 must let at least 75% of light through its windscreen and 70% through the front side windows. For a car first used before that date, both limits are 70%. Those limits are for the existing glass and added film together, so the shade label won't tell you on its own if the result is legal.
What happens if the tint develops a fault?
If your car tint peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace to fix it under the lifetime warranty, which lasts while you own the car. Small water bubbles or a slight haze just after fitting can be normal. Those clear as the new film dries. After fitting, you get a warranty card, a microfibre cleaning cloth, a keyring and care instructions.
