Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

How much light must front windows let through?
For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the front side windows must let through at least 70% of light, while the windscreen minimum is 75%. Older vehicles must pass at least 70% through both. Your Twickenham installer advises on those limits, which count the glass plus any film.
