Car tinting at home or work
Liam Shaw and Mike Goodman are our Global Tint franchise owners covering Crosby. Your installer comes to your address for the fitting. This can be on a driveway or in a workplace car park. The van has its own power supply and all the equipment needed, so you won’t have to provide electricity.

For rear side windows and the rear windscreen at your Crosby fitting, choose Onyx 5% (darkest), Luna 20%, Twilight 35%, Fifty 50% or 70% (lightest). The percentages show how much light passes through, and the tint viewer shows the shades on your own make and model. Your installer will advise on what’s legal for the front glass.

What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

A clean handover

Do the same tint rules apply to front and rear windows?
No, front glass must meet minimum light limits, but you can choose any shade for the rear side windows and back windscreen. On vehicles first used from 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and the front side windows at least 70%, counting glass and film together. For older vehicles, both front limits are at least 70%.
What warranty will I receive with my car tint?
You’ll have a lifetime car tint warranty for as long as you own the car. If the film needs fixing because it peels, fades or bubbles, the installer returns to your home or workplace. After fitting, you’ll get the warranty card, care instructions, a microfibre cleaning cloth and a keyring.
