Choosing your tint
We tint the rear side windows and rear windscreen, and your installer will advise on legal shades for the front windows. The website’s tint viewer lets you compare five shades on your own make and model. Onyx lets through 5% of light and is the darkest; Luna lets through 20%, Twilight 35%, Fifty 50%, and the lightest option lets through 70%. As well as giving you privacy, car film cuts glare and heat and can block up to 99% of UV.

What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

What are the legal limits for front windows?
If your car was first used on or after 1 April 1985, its windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. Older cars need 70% through both. These limits apply to the glass and film together; rear side windows and the rear windscreen can be any shade.
What if I need a repair after my Dundee fitting?
If the film peels, bubbles or fades while you still own the car, your installer comes back to your home or workplace to fix it under the lifetime warranty. After a fitting in The Ferry, you’ll also get a warranty card, care instructions, a microfibre cleaning cloth and a keyring.
