What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.
Does the weather matter?
Rarely. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so rain doesn’t stop the job, and the van carries its own power and everything the installer needs.
What if something goes wrong later?
Car tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If it peels, bubbles or fades, the installer comes back to your home or workplace and fixes it.

The warranty covers film that fades, peels or bubbles for the whole time you own the car. If a covered fault develops, the installer returns to your home or workplace to fix it. You'll receive a warranty card after fitting, plus a cleaning cloth, keyring and instructions for looking after the film.
How much light must the front windows let through?
For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, at least 75% must pass through the windscreen and 70% through the front side windows. On earlier vehicles the windscreen needs 70% too. Those limits are measured through the original glass and the tint together, so adding film must still leave enough light passing through.
