The available shades run from darkest Onyx 5% through Luna 20%, Twilight 35% and Fifty 50% to the lightest at 70%; those numbers tell you how much light gets through. What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.

Can the back windows be darker than the front ones?
Yes, rear side windows and the rear windscreen can take any shade, while front windows have light transmission limits. For cars first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must pass at least 75% of light and front side glass at least 70%; older cars need at least 70% for both. For a car in Leicester, the limits apply to the glass and film together.
What support do I get after fitting?
