What happens when the installer arrives?
They look over the car, go through the shades and which are legal on each window, then fit the film from inside the car. Most cars take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, and you get a warranty card, a microfibre cloth, a keyring and care instructions at the end.

“Got the rear windows on wife's newly purchased second hand VW id4 and had both cars fitted with a windscreen sun strips. Very competitively priced and felt it was worth the extra couple of pounds after reading many reviews. Mike fitted them and was very helpful and knowledgeable. Got on with the job with no fuss. Makes the VW look amazing so pleased with it and the sun strips just add that little extra style to both our cars. Only slight downside was windscreens where left with a lot of streaks inside from the fitting residue hence 4 stars. Would still highly recommend global tint.”

What are the limits for tint on front windows?
For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows at least 70%. The limits are for the glass and film together. Older vehicles need at least 70% through both. Rear side windows and the rear windscreen can take any shade.
What does the car tint warranty cover?
Peeling, bubbling and fading are covered by a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. If that happens, your installer will come back to your home or workplace to repair the film. You'll receive a warranty card and care instructions after fitting, along with a microfibre cleaning cloth and a keyring.
